Sorare Champion Europe Scouting: Our Top Picks

If you’re looking for some solid Sorare Champion Europe options, you’re in the right place. I’ve just completed the Challenger Europe team and I’m ready to get started with the Top talent from the household name leagues.

Before we get started, it’s important that I list the eligible leagues, so you know where we are Scouting our players from. This article is going to contain most of the premium players, so don’t expect too many youth stars in the mix here. I will also be looking at creating a youth wonderkids article, so stay tuned for that one.

Which Leagues are Eligible for Champion Europe?

Entry is limited to players representing teams in the top 5 European football leagues:

Sorare Champion Europe Goalkeepers

We start off with goalkeepers, and there’s an abundance of elite talent to look through. In this instance, I won’t be recommending players such as Manuel Neuer, due to his tender age of 35. Instead, I’ll look for goalkeepers that are putting in good scores, but also offer you some utility, for at least a few years.

As we’ve seen with Brad Guzan recently, it only takes one injury and older players consider retirement.

There are 208 goalkeepers at this time in the pool for Champion Europe, and I’ve narrowed down the following:

Mike Maignan

Mike Maignan has always looked like a solid shot-stopper, but he’s proven in 2021/22 just how good he is. Helping Milan to win the Serie A, he’s been a fantastic addition to their squad. When they lost Donnarumma, there was genuine fear that they’d be in trouble.

However, I’d suggest that they have strengthened in this position. Donnarumma hasn’t been able to persuade Paris St Germain that he should be #1 goalkeeper, and Keylor Navas has started quite a few games.

There’s some great goalkeepers in this pool, but in the coming years goalkeepers like Neuer, Courtois will be retiring and I see Maignan as being the star in his position.

Mike Maignan Sorare

Although his stats are great, his price may be out of reach. In this instance, we would advise you to look at the following:

  • Leo Jardim. He’s been great for Lille, but I’d want to see if Lille strengthen or lose their key players before signing him as my #1 goalkeeper.
  • Gianluigi Donnarumma. Although he’s a top rated goalkeeeper, I’m a little concerned by some of his performances when I actually watch him. That being said, he’s got an L40 average of 50.
  • Predrag Rajkovic. I feel like I’m skewed on this selection from my Football Manager days, as Predrag was always my #1 choice. He’s got an L40 of 51 and he’s a mainstay in the Stade De Reims team.
  • Alisson. There’s no limited card as of yet, but he’s definitely one of the top choices if you’re shopping for a rare. Liverpool are dominant, and Van Dijk and Konate prop up his points with their great defensive work.

Sorare Champion Europe Defenders

Dayot Upamecano

Dayot Upamecano was fantastic before his move to Bayern Munich. Representing RB Leipzig, he showed his dominance in the 2020/21 Champions League Group Stage matches, where he bullied powerful strikers. He partnered Konate, and they really looked great together.

The transfer to Bayern has helped his scoring, as the Bavarians tend to hold more clean sheets. Although he was good in Leipzig, they did play free-flowing football which came at the cost of conceding goals.

His scores on Sorare are phenonemal, scoring an average of around 70 per game. He loses U23 next year, but there’s plenty more utility beyond that.

Other options:

  • Lucas Hernandez. Another Bayern player. Check his scores, then consider him for your stack.
  • Fikayo Tomori. He’s been great at Milan, but I would be monitoring to see how Milan start the next campaign.
  • Josko Gvardiol. Another player with exceptional talent, another player from the ranks of RB Leipzig
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold. Again, no limited cards at present for Liverpool. However, he’s one of the best scoring defenders on the platform. He’s rarely injured and he always plays, just what we need!

Sorare Champion Europe Midfielders

Joshua Kimmich

You might be confused, thinking this is a Bayern stack. However, I didn’t pick Manuel Neuer…

Kimmich is a player that’s made for Sorare. Although he doesn’t do too much silky dribbling, or 40 yard curling passes, Joshua gets the job done most gameweeks. Support evidence is his L40 average of 71. He has missed a few games due to Covid, but hopefully that’s all we see of that.

He’s a good age, we’d prefer him to be 18 to have maximum utility, but we will settle with 27. He’s quite an investment though, so definitely consider your potential returns before adding him to your team.

He will be your midfield general, in a dominant side.

Other Options:

  • Christopher Nkunku. He will be transferring soon, as he’s showing exceptional talent.
  • Benjamin Bourigeaud. Not an household name, but a consistent scorer.
  • Pedri. He’s not featured too much in the first team, but his output in relation to his age is great. If he can keep that up for 10 years, it’s one of the best utility cards available.

Sorare Champion Europe Forwards

Kylian Mbappe

I don’t need to write too much here, as Kylian Mbappe justifies himself. There was a period of uncertainty for Kylian, but he has signed with PSG for the foreseeable future now. This is probably the best move in terms of Sorare, because we can look at his previous scoring L40 of 73 and know that he should replicate it next season.

If he did move to Madrid, we would be guessing, or hoping, that he could keep the scores up.

He’s still Under 23 for one more campaign, but we are in this one for the long haul. You can expect 10 years of Kylian Mbappe at the very top of his game, which is also quite scary!

Others:

  • Vinicius Jr. Vinicius has proved the doubters wrong this season, him and Benzema have shown top chemistry.
  • Florian Wirtz. A great player, it will be interesting to see his form on return from injury. He was unplayable before this.
  • Muniain. His price doesn’t correlate to his performances, he’s an absolute bargain.
  • Erling Haaland. His supply of cards will stop now he’s moved to Man City. A definite one to watch.

Sorare Champion Europe Best Players: Conclusion

I hope that you have found this list of players useful. I’ve tried to provide a range of players which can suit varied budgets, but I have to include the key players. Champion Europe is an elite division where you can win players such as Kylian Mbappe, so it’s definitely worth being prepared to enter it with the best players in the scouting pool.

If you’re looking for more budget players, I’d definitely consider the Under 23 Forwards Under £1000 article.
